These SMS Terms of Service govern text messages sent by the Law Office of Henry Jacobs. They supplement our Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use.
Program description
If you consent to receive conversational and informational SMS from the Law Office of Henry Jacobs, you agree to receive conversational and informational SMS from us. These messages relate to an inquiry you submitted or a matter we are handling for you, and may include:
- Replies to a question you asked us;
- Scheduling and confirmation of consultations or appointments;
- Reminders about upcoming meetings, hearings, or deadlines;
- Requests for documents or information needed for your matter;
- Status updates concerning your matter.
We do not send promotional or marketing text messages, and we do not text people who have not asked to hear from us.

The consent checkbox on our website is optional, is unchecked by default, and is not required in order to submit the form.
Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any purchase and is not a condition of receiving legal services from us.
How to opt out
Reply STOP to any message from us at any time to stop receiving text messages. You will receive one message confirming that you have been unsubscribed, after which we will send no further texts to that number. You may also ask us by phone or email to stop texting you.

Cost and frequency
- Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier's standard rates apply to messages you send and receive. We do not charge for text messages.
- Messaging frequency may vary depending on your matter and how often you contact us.
Carriers and delivery
Message delivery depends on your mobile carrier, and carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Because delivery is not guaranteed, do not rely on text messages for urgent or time-sensitive matters. If something is urgent, call us at (520) 792-0091.
Confidentiality warning
Text messaging is not a secure or confidential channel. Messages may be stored by your carrier, visible on a locked screen, or readable by anyone with access to your phone. Do not send sensitive case details, and be aware that texting us before we have agreed in writing to represent you does not create an attorney-client relationship.
Privacy
Your mobile telephone number and your consent to receive text messages are used only to communicate with you. No mobile opt-in or text message consent will be shared with third parties or affiliates. See our Privacy Policy for complete details on how we handle your information.
